Lionel StrongLionel Strong, General Manager

Having grown up in the town of Kroonstad in the Free State, Lionel has come a long way. This larger than life man has had an illustrious career in both the South African Police Services and the Private Security Industry. After obtaining his diploma in police management Lionel was appointed to handle the integration of the ANC and Inkatha Freedom Parties Self Defence Units into the police services. His success in this area gave the then new ANC lead government confidence to task Lionel to handle the investigations into politically motivated criminal activity throughout the country as well as the notorious taxi industries violence.

In 2000 Lionel left the South African Police Services and launched his new career in the private security industry. It was here he headed up and ran the operations for Diligence Security Guarding Services, having under his command over 600 guards.

It was in 2006 that Lionel joined Security Service Consultants and was appointed PA to the managing director. It became quickly apparent that Lionel had more to offer this dynamic organization and in 2007 became the general manager.

He has made his mark on the security industry and is a well liked and respected member of this community. This is evident as he was elected in 2009 as Chairman of the Gauteng Branch of the Security Association of South Africa.
